Help deliver our digger!
With all our exciting, upcoming projects, one of the biggest needs is a digger. Whether it be for digging the channels to help develop our agriculture and reforestation, digging ponds that will help with water, wildlife and fish farming, or digging foundations for buildings that will be used for education, training and skill development, the need is there and we believe that it will help the next phase of this community development project greatly.
We are grateful for friends back in Switzerland who have worked in finding this digger and ways to get it shipped by the end of September. The person who bought this digger agreed to pay the costs in advance and Tsimoka will need to pay him back within the period of one year. In addition to this, we will need to pay the shipping and all extra costs and this requires more of an immediate attention.
Along with the digger, a whole team of people are organizing to ship solar equipments in order for our existing facility to have sufficient energy and be used in all its capacities. Our current solar system provides enough so that our people there have lights in the evening, can charge their phones, and that’s about it.
We are looking for help to see this need met. Would you be able to help or know anyone who might be interested in helping?
We are raising CHF 33’000 until the end of October 2024
These funds will cover the transportation of the digger, which will happen in the next couple of weeks, as well as the cost and shipping of the solar equipment.
Additionally, the cost of the digger will need to be paid back within one year.
The total cost is broken down into the following:
DESCRIPTION
AMOUNT (CHF)
SHIPPING the DIGGER (shipping, container, transportation to Basel, insurance, customs fees, unforeseeable costs)
19 000
SHIPPING and PURCHASE of solar equipment
14 000
DIGGER (already paid but needs to be reimbursed)
16 800
We look forward to seeing these appliances here in Madagascar so that our part in helping develop this beautiful nation and people can continue!
Thank you for joining in making this possible!
